Anyone had any recent communications with Jae? He's usually been very responsive, but my last two e-mails went unanswered.

just consider your money to be a nice interest free loan with an indefinite payback to a charming talented artist.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I had no problem in getting a piece from Jae, everything was arranged before convention that he attended. Sent him cash months in advance, this way, he said, he will have time to do it at home, and spend more time to make it nicer, or so he said.
He turned up at the con, moths later, and my sketch was never started. 1st day of the con, still nothing. In fairness, he was sitting and sketching all day long, and took on so many requests, that (apparently) he was sitting up most of the night working. The second day of the con, he finally got around to doing mine, but it turned out so bad, I was literally furious that I ever paid this amount of money for a half figure sketch.
He is a nice enough dude, but l won't be ever getting anything else from him...

Everyone says he’s such a great dude, but in my book if you screw loyal fans over and take their money for half ass work, you’re not a great dude. I love his work but have come to the realization that I will never get a commissioned piece from him.

I would recommend that you ask for refunds -- Jae will give you your money back and at least you have that

Exactly. If there is the option to get your money back, take it if you don't want to wait.
