Rebirth Red Hood Issue 26 onwards

This is the first issue with the new costume.

Issue 26 is the start of a new story arc. No prior reading knowledge is needed.

Bruce Wayne has exiled Jason Todd from Gotham. Artemis and Bizarro are missing. Jason's on the road alone, though he and Arsenal are both tracking a criminal drug organization.

This issue is pretty violent, especially when compared to other Bat-family titles. I don't like to dwell on "action scenes" since they are often repetitive (of each other) or last for too long, but Jason's fight with a biker gang is well-drawn and written. His internal monologue is a nice recap for both longtime readers and newbies.

Good stuff!

Hmm, interesting design. He has a hood and it is red. Makes more sense than his red helmet design I guess. The crowbar seems a little goofy. I may have to check it out, even though I’m not a fan of the Bat-Family, beyond Nightwing and Batgirl.

This sounds like the direction i want them to take with Jason, if he's not gonna be a villain... But too little too late. If i hear enough praises, i may get it as HC, if they make HC editions of it. But i don't need anymore crap in my life, DC changes directions with characters left and right, why should i even bother... 'cause for a short while Jason will be at the direction that i want ? meh... i endure his ----y existince as a Batfamily member for so long anyway... wishing for him to die again... as i said abit too little too late anyway...

The entire Rebirth run has been pretty good. I also enjoyed the DC You Red Hood/Arsenal period during New 52.

Looks and sounds pretty cool... I'll give it a shot after I'm done with my current reading stack.

Thanks for this, but you know my OCD won't allow me to start so late in a series!

Yeah, I'm really used to the "red helmet" design for the character, but this design fits the name more.

I love the crowbar... Batman made his whole gimmick around weaponizing his childhood fear. Jason is doing the same with his most traumatic experience. At least he isn't going by "Crowbar-man!"

AH yes...he was beaten to “death” with a crowbar wasn’t he? Makes more sense now.

Batwoman will be making a guest appearance in Issue 29.

I've always thought these two should form their own team since they don't mind using guns.
