Hey , good for that guy being all generous, but hell no. Lol, that's just freaking ridiculous. And I've met Neal a few times. Nice guy, but yeah his ego knows no bounds. Most of his original art costs more than my car. But hey if you can swing it, swing it buddy.

I couldn't agree more. Unless the art is stolen and literally in an underground collection with a police report hanging over it. It'd be a cold day in Hell before I agreed to this.

I don't know very much about collectible art, but the contract you need to sign to own a windsor Smith piece seems to be a bit of a hassle. I would not want something with so much red tape telling me when and where and for how long I can display something I paid for, and then I have to pay again when I want to resell it? Almost sounds like a lease with all the rules.

No thanks.

No. Neal Adams' ego is exhausting.

I realize this is all hypothetical, but it COULD come up some day with someone: If I were to sign Barry Windsor-Smith's contract, and I later die, what does that mean? Does he then gain ALL rights to the artwork? If I bequeath the artwork to my (adult) children, can the contract be enforced upon THEM, even though they didn't agree to anything? Or what happens when Windsor-Smith passes away?

The whole situation seems sketchy to me.
