I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Robin Hood 6.5/10. Entertaining in places, boring in others, outright silly at times. The accents were all over the place too.

Role Models - 6/10. Pretty funny at times but far from great.

Martyrs 9/10 very good French "Horror" film. More like a torture film and the effect it has on a person so I would catergorize it more as a graphic suspense film but very good none the less!

Robin Hood (Crowe) 5/10 Better than Costner and Flynn versions I guess but not as good as the cartoon fox..............

Miss March 7/10 How did this only get one star from the critics?

The Cincinnati Kid (1965) 9/10

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

speaking of movies that rock!

+ my last couple of days viewing...

Spider Forest 8/10
enigmatic, moody Korean film, with nicely done surreal touches along the way.

Walker 9/10
off the wall but with a serious point to make, this involving Alex Cox flick provided Ed Harris with the role of his career. Superb music by Joe Strummer.

Timecrimes 5/10
alright story, characters so bland I couldn't care about any of it though.

Mother of Tears 8.5/10
the climax is great stuff, Asia's good in it, there's some crazy gore and it's eager to please - numerous references to past Argento works and some fun casting. Second time I've seen this and my opinion basically remains unchanged.

Daughters of Darkness 7/10

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo 9/10
The Girl Who Played With Fire 8.5/10
The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest 8/10
Riveting (and somewhat exhausting) seven-hour "milliennium trilogy" marathon - been looking forward to these and wasn't disappointed.

Sid & Nancy 8/10
Alex Cox again. Performances & soundtrack are excellent, and Roger Deakins photography is spot-on. Downbeat of course, but there are some really beautiful and funny moments throughout.

Watched Robin Hood last night, and ended up switching it off at my wife's request. Couldn't really argue with her as I found it really drawn out and dull. Pretty forgettable flick 5/10.
