I agree with all of you. The main reason I loved the Green Hornet so much was because Bruce Lee was the coolest action hero on TV! But, the other reason was that Van Williams was also cool! A lot cooler than Adam West ever could be. Van Williams and Bruce Lee vs Adam West and Burt Ward? No contest in coolness factor, or in a fight. RIP Van...

Pretty sad that the whole cast is gone. I think he was fairly private after Hollywood. I remember listening to an interview with him and he was a cop after acting. He told a good story about shooting back at a criminal and chasing him into the California mountains. He seemed upset that he never got that guy. So he wasn't just playing a hero on TV.
I was hoping to get him to personalize an autograph for me if I could catch a rare convention appearance. It was on my priority list. But that's going to be one of those things I'll never have.
