they could also release it in maybe smaller size like 1/3 or 1/2. not sure if they would scarify some details.

1:2 scale would be large enough if it were a polystone bust instead.

Nope. No lifesize no care. Less than lifesize busts are just unfinished scaled statues.

The closer it gets to life size, the more it becomes an unbearable tease. I found a statue on ebay (didn't buy) of a 1/1.5 Scarlett Johansson Black Widow. WHY?! Just make it 1/1! lol. For me, if it's bigger than 1/3, it might as well be 1/1.

The benefit of doing a life-size statue or bust, especially for movie-based human characters, is to bring out all the intricate details and textures, the subtle changes of facial muscles and bone structure, etc in a correct scale and proportion which wouldn't be possible on a small scale statue. It allows for maximum accuracy and hyper-realism for the sculpt.
For anime or video game characters, it is not really necessary to have them done in life-size scale due to their inherently lack of details in design. The only advantage of having a life-size statue or bust of an anime or video game character is to have a larger presence which can look impressive for some.
However, it may not work well for all characters. Personally, I find them more appealing in a smaller scale such as 1:4.

The last Q1 newsletter has just revealed Lady Death.
I guess we will have to wait for at least another couple of weeks yet.
