but for some reason i can't put my finger on i thought "sway" was a vaguely racist, ugly name for an asian girl. and describing her power as "having sway over time" was D.U.M.B. i find darwin creepy.

I didn't really like any of them, and I don't like the idea of Vulcan as a bad guy, his motives don't make any sense. He was the only one of them eager to join Prof X, and now he wants to kill him because of his failure? Besides I hate these bad guys with unlimited power. Okay so we found out that Havok could attain more power than Vulcan but he was trumped because Vulcan has the entire Shiar Imperial Guard behind him.

i'm with you; i stopped reading Emp Vul before it ended, i was so pissed they shipped off half the X-Men to outer space (right before MC). Blah, who cares? none of them could've been handy chasing that friggin baby?

Call me crazy but I loved Chuck Austen's run of X-Men. It turned me back on to X-Men.

yeah, polaris was fun then. she & alex had fun energy. her current look's a little "Queen of Green" for me. Polaris vs DC's Emerald Empress--how would we know? even that big, creepy eye couldn't differentiate them. throw in agent brand, poison ivy, & green arrow and you'd never find any of them on a golf course! zzzzzzzz.
her saucy purple shi'ar suit w/ the crazy collar was fun.

this guy? i think i missed this run. never understood this creepy, s&m-style costume for lorna, though.
my all-time favorite was her Bonkers Magneto Bride outfit from her wedding meltdown w/ Alex--a girl version of magneto's costume, with helmet, from the waist up & a wedding dress waist-down. it was BIZARRE & fabulous.
