Not a fan of the pose. Just doesn't fit the character.

Would've loved a Richard Rider Nova statue. But oh well ... the wait continues.

Ugh damn. I really wanted a Nova statue. But yea not getting this.
Same. Nova and Silver Surfer were the first two statues I wanted XM to make when I first started collecting. Still no Surfer (probably for licensing reasons) and this Nova is so far from anything I'd want to display. His costume is amazing and we can hardly see his arms and legs. He's one of the most powerful cosmic dudes and really only needed to be standing there poised and brooding.

idk, the slam dunk was just such a miss artistically, for my taste.

I'd have liked XM to draw from Nova's Annihilation covers if they wanted to do a dynamic or museum pose... in my opinion that'd have been a whole lot better than what's been produced.

Hopefully when the long wait for an XM Silver Surfer is over they don't miss as badly as with this Nova.

Who is control of the art direction over at XM? Jacked up Nova, Sinister, Batman. All big releases that people really wanted to purchase.

It's tough to understand because some of their releases are truly breathtaking...

But I think with the misses they try to do too much or move away from the source material

You know I was just thinking about this yesterday, and here is an update. I still would like to hold out hope that there will be a switchout non slam dunk torso, but it's probably too much to ask. This pose is just terrible.

And now, looking at the comments on Facebook for this post, it appears Nova is missing the star logo on the back of his outfit. What a complete miss on XMs part. It's a crucial part of his costume.

It also looks like they shrunk the energy ball size. If you look back on page 3 at the back shot, its huge and covers his whole head. Here you can see more of his helmet. Odd they would change that but not fix the actual statue pose or complaints people have lol.
