I'm at a point where I'm thinking of my options. While I have key books like Fantasy 15 and Spidey 1 (which I would like to keep for as long as I can), I also have near complete silver age runs of the Avengers, FF, Journey into mystery Thor, Hulk, Spiderman, and Sub-Mariner, and so on, many of which are really high grade. My mind is quickly doing the numbers and I'd be insane not to take advantage of the market.

Surely there are others here with a very similar collection.
Have any of you gone whole hog with CGC?

P.S. I am a huge Dr. Strange fan!
Not, yet. I'll probably test them with a few comics first. Maybe at a convention to see exactly how they grade and what they look for. I would probably never let go of that Amazing Fantasy and Amazing #1. Or at least keep them in the family.

On a side note, do you have a larger version of your Buffy and Willow avatar?

all i see are prices rising for cgc goldand silver age keys (and some early bronze)....i only have a few cgc books left but did have a bunch including a run of ASM #8-49 in cgc 8.0 to 9.4 that i eventually sold as a lot to metropolis.

cgc is great if you have a few high grade books to be graded and then if you are looking to sell you can maximize your profit...also it is good to detect any books with restoration...once you get the purple label the value plummets.

Here are some pics I took some time ago of Spidey #1.

P.S. Looking back, I think it's time to replace some of my comic boxes!

Did you buy the books new or from a shop? Nice copy by the way!

Do you think I'm 70 years old or something?

P.S. I generally bought my books off other collectors over the years.

That looks like a really high grade Amazing #1. I have to switch out my boxes as well. But they don't seem to make acid free long boxes. All the acid free or plastic boxes are shorter than the long boxes for some reason.

Thanks for the Buffy and Willow image.

LOL! I wasn't sure how old you were.

Awesome book! I can't wait to see what it comes back graded as.

Some books take forever to pop up. Took me 6 years to snag a 9.8 Suicide Squad #1. I'm currently on the hunt for Deadshot #1 9.8.
