Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country.

These environments were what pulled me into Sideshow/Weta in the first place. They really capture those areas from the films well.

As for The Danbury Mint's pieces, they are not only comparable to SS/Weta's but may even surpass them in many ways. Their Minas Tirith, for example, blows away the SS/Weta version in terms of size and detailing. You can literally follow Gandalf & Pippin on Shadowfax's path where they winded their way to the top of the city.

Yeah, the danbury mint Minas Tirith looks great.... in fairness to SS/weta, it was a mini-exclusive thing with the DVD's.... The Gollum and Argonath they released weren't of the same quality as their limited collectables.

I will definently be looking to pick up Barad-Dur and now Minas Tirith in the new year

I'm not 100% but a company called Danbury Mint did bring out a couple of the towers.( Barad Dur and Minas Tirith ) It looks like it could be one of theirs.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Bosco is right they were made by Danburry Mint along time ago, I used to have them. They are long sold out and only place you can get is eBay.
