never thought about the Argonath and Bookends... i have both of those too.
Seretur, could you post some pics of Orthanc? i've never seen any good non-sideshow pics before.

a friend of mine has the stone troll (he paid $440 - there was a tiiiiiiiiny scuff or something on the base)
I'll see if either i can pop up and take some pics or get him to mail me some

These environments were what pulled me into Sideshow/Weta in the first place. They really capture those areas from the films well.
As for The Danbury Mint's pieces, they are not only comparable to SS/Weta's but may even surpass them in many ways. Their Minas Tirith, for example, blows away the SS/Weta version in terms of size and detailing. You can literally follow Gandalf & Pippin on Shadowfax's path where they winded their way to the top of the city.

Yeah, the danbury mint Minas Tirith looks great.... in fairness to SS/weta, it was a mini-exclusive thing with the DVD's.... The Gollum and Argonath they released weren't of the same quality as their limited collectables.
I will definently be looking to pick up Barad-Dur and now Minas Tirith in the new year

I'm not 100% but a company called Danbury Mint did bring out a couple of the towers.( Barad Dur and Minas Tirith ) It looks like it could be one of theirs.

Bosco is right they were made by Danburry Mint along time ago, I used to have them. They are long sold out and only place you can get is eBay.
