Could someone please briefly explain the story difference between the "Big Game Predator" and "Big Game Cover Art Predator"?
Are they essentially the same Predator but different bases and slightly different poses?

All covers drawn by Den Beauvais.
The smash-hit miniseries is also collected into one volume, with this cover.
Never read these, but seems to be one storyline.
Corporal Enoch Nakai fighting against the predator.
The third cover looks like a combination of the first two, so i would say you are right.
It is supposed to be the same predator.

One thing that bugged me from the beginning with this piece, are the seems between the hands and wrists.
The connection looks just like plastic doll hands with a ball-joint pushed into a socket (ring on the wrist).
Don't know if Prime1 is going to improve this (asap).
But 99% of the times if something strange can be seen on final proto pics, it will end-up in the mold and thus production.
Rest of it is nice, but imo it gets to expensive added as total.
For the price, tree should be included without extra cost lol..

Just want to ask as I don't know a lot about the predator, what is inaccurate about the mask on the statue?

Well it looks like the Predator, so I'd assume that most casual fans wont really care. Although I'm not sure how many casual fans would be dropping 2k+ on this with shipping etc?
Anyway, first off, the lenses are incorrect on both masks. The "guardian" should have a solid black plastic lens, not mesh, it was modified with mesh when it was used in Predator 2. The main bio really would benefit from a decent lens like the SWS statue had over 10 years ago, it makes so much difference in person. It should be a mesh, with a very dark silver lens over the top of it. On to the actual main mask, The lower cheeks are a but wide on it, although the over all shape isn't too far off to be fair. The texture is too heavy, the real mask is very smooth. The battle damage is arguably the biggest problem, it's sculpted in which gives it a very different look to the actual movie mask. That large circle dent right in the middle of his crown, the other large circle on his dome and all of the heavy pitting on his nose area all sticks out way too much. They say they have don this to make production paint easier but I'm not sure it's worth it. I'd rather have a smooth mask with some painted damage missing than the over exaggerated sculpted damage. But maybe that's just me? It's a great statue over all, I just think a few small tweaks to the mask would finish it off nicely, although I'm spoiled by the SWS maquette which is staring at me as I type this....
Prime 1 vs SWS maquette lenses
Prime 1 guardian mask vs real props lenses
Prime 1 vs real prop texture & damage comparison.

Very true. It is bothering me also, but sadly I don't think Prime 1 will change anything sadly. Also the statue is a little bit too bulky. But all in all I cannot wait for mine. Overall the city hunter will be way more accurate for the film.

I don't think they will alter it either at this point, shame as it wouldn't have been too much work to perfect the statue.

Casual fan right here and I dropped big dough on this and the P1 Big Chap. lol
I'm fairly new to the Predator/Alien community, but have been a Star Wars collector for many years.
Star Wars collectors are pretty OCD when it comes to accuracy, but nothing close to what I've seen in the Predator/Alien community.
I feel the same way about this franchise as I do about Star Wars when it comes to collectibles; these companies try to create what the studios wanted you to perceive, not what it actually looked like as a prop.
