I've thought about using a turn table for a couple pieces but always thought they would be wobbly if I did.

Now that I think about it, wasn’t there a discussion about the art pieces you have as well? I remember checking out the site of the artist, somebody left a link. Lots of good stuff there.

be careful of the motorized ones. A guy on a canadian facebook statue group had a statue of his fall off his motorized turntable and it was destroyed.

Just received one of these.
Very nice quality, but to thick for its size (1,5" against 10"):

Went with this type (12.3"), instead of the regular 'tv/monitor' turntables with patterned surface who are close to an inch thick.
These are quite thin 1/2" (12mm) and smooth plastic, so when it extend from under a base it looks more smooth/uniform black. Runs smooth and can carry the same weight as the tv ones.
