I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Diamond Comic Distributors Stops Shipping Printed Goods (only?) - Covid-19
Diamond has said that they will stop shipping, and that printers should cease sending products to them. The articles below focus on comics, so I'm unsure if it will be affecting other goods like toys, statues, non-printed merchandise that they handle (DST items overall?) This is not fear mongering, or meant to do anything but inform, but also to see if anyone has seen anything that specifically mentions non-printed goods, either way?
I'm placing this in the Diamond Select forum since it seems most applicable.

I wonder how many comic shop owners will be able to pay for the backlog of product that will ship at once.

I don't know that there's been any confirmation whether this affects collectibles, but I'm assuming it does until they say otherwise. Especially because their sister company Alliance Games is cutting off all board game shipments after this week.

While Steve Geppi didn’t mention non-print items, I think it still applies. First, there is little to no product coming in from China right now. Second, Geppi mentioned reorder items so they are shipping only what they in their warehouses.

Every Collectibles company is going to get hurt by this. No way around it. I’m not going to be surprised until certain collectible making company’s start going out of business. Has anyone noticed an influx of emails from Sideshow, Kotobukiya, Diamond Select, etc. sideshow, for example have been making enormous statues with low edition sizes. That will never be able to go on. Companies like Diamond Select will hopefully find themselves in better shape than that. This isn’t near over with and a return to normal will not happen. We now have a new “normal” that will come if the virus is controlled. The list of company’s going out of business in 2020 was ugly on its own but now that “expected” list will be something we’ve never seen. Anything like comic books that can easily be downloaded onto an IPad or computer. Those type of things won’t survive this.
