DC Directs chink..????

After reading some of the sculptors, and soon to be sculptor at DC Direct.

I'm confused as to why everyone's GREAT to work with. Yet, the product lines
are a mess.........rock base busts-cancelled,JLU animated style-in question,new "girls" busts-it's just my opinion-to pin-upy,fullsize-hit ot miss?

So where and WHY is it falling apart????

Where is the chink in the armor????

One thing I think hurts DC is there lack of farming out, everything is in house, where as Marvel branches out, Bowen, Sideshow, Hard Hero, and Diamond.

And I think you hit it on the head, lack of follow through

I am almost embarrassed to admit this.

Misread the first post and asked myself "What DC character of Chinese origin wears armor?"

probably the whole "in house" thing like someone said. but if 1 company did all of marvels product it would be the same way. every company marvel contracts out to has hit or miss items. not everything is a hit. plus you get different opinions when you contract out rather than having hte same people ultimately in charge over everything with just 1 company releasing product.

The JLU animated maquettes are in trouble?

I've been trying to find the Green Arrow one. He's a toughie.

DC does NOT listen to their customer base!! A prime example is this new Superman statue on the Daily Planet base. There is a support behind superman so he appears to be flying above the Daily Planet. And the Daily Planet rotates by pushing a button. PROBLEM!!! In order to have this support behind Superman they had to connect his foot on the opposite side of the support AWAY FROM HIS LEG!!! So the statue only looks "normal" from one angle!! Who's the genius behind that?? PLUS WHO CARES that you can push a button and have the Daily Planet rotate!! Give us QUALITY statues and NOT a $200 toy!!! This statue COULD have been "SUPER" but it's not looking too promising.

I bet you there are some "just Superman" collectors out there or the occasional I used to buy Superman comics and this thing is cool, that will just drool over this and it's "action" feature. I don't think they make every statue with the intention of "statue collectors" in mind.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I would have to agree with pretty much everyone else...

They need to start having comtracts with other companys..

If SideShow,Bowen, and Gentle Giants were all making DC stuff we would all own alot more...
