Looks to be based on this maquette, I believe by Winston:

Nice effort but from the front it looks like a camel or a lion, the snout is too wide. Eyebrows too big etcetera. It will please some people but it does little to do with the maquette. Not a big fan.

Betting some of that is due to lens distortion. Most of the photos we've seen of this are from close up, hence why people are complaining that the tail is too thin. We need more profile shots.

Alice Wright (painter) and some others did, and i can see they're not exactly perfect in this picture from Jurassic Corner:

But that's the thing with glass eyes. Unless you spend an unhealthy amount of time fine tuning the acrylic depth, like Paul from CC did on their pieces, this is always going to happen.

Well, sure. That was a studio model, akin to Prime 1 Big Chap Museum Pose.

Nah, it just looks like its source material. Which is not the Chronicle piece.

Absolutely not, it's pretty much spot on instead.

Note both the source Maquette and Chronicle piece had the bigger male teeth.

If anything, i really wish they went for this darker paint scheme:

And skin texture, at least from these phone pictures:

Looks nowhere near the original nor the Chronicle piece. But even then would be understandable considering it's half their size.

Overall super hyped about this piece and can't wait to order, just hope it's not going to look too small in person. That's my biggest fear.

P.S. If someone knows how to contact ECC, i would gladly beg them to use the proper paint scheme.

I'd prefer a darker paint scheme as well, but when you say the "proper" paint scheme, are you referring to the image of the maquette in neutral pose or the one in your other photos? Doesn't look like the posed Winston maquette is particularly dark, just has more spotting and mottling detail.

Thanks for the link, tried to search him but IG is full of Steve Wangs.

Sent him the full uncompressed picture and gave him my input, let's see what happens.

With "proper" paintjob i refer to the darker one btw.

Yeah, but the maquette with the darker paintjob is the neutral pose. If this ECC piece is meant to be a recreation of the posed Winston maquette, the colors they chose are closer, no?

Unless by "proper," you mean according to the film?
