happy pattys day

St. Paddy's Girl

Put all of these ingredients into a blender:

Shot each of - Bailey's Irish cream (or your preferred brand), shot of Irish whiskey, shot of Kahlua or other coffee liqueur, shot of espresso.

Blend until creamy. Pour into a margarita glass. Add chocolate curls or a sprinkle of cinnamon on top, if desired.

Irish Mint Kiss

Ingredients:

2 parts Bailey's Irish Cream (or whichever brand you prefer)

1 part cream (use milk if you must, but cream is better)

Splash of creme de menthe

Chocolate syrup

Add all but the chocolate syrup into a cocktail shaker that has been filled 2/3 with ice. Shake well until chilled, at least 30 seconds. Strain into a martini glass. Make a decorative drizzle on top with the chocolate syrup.

Lucky Limeys

Add 2 scoops of lime sherbet to a beer mug. Pour 7Up brand soda over it almost to the top. To really dress it up, add some whipped cream and a green maraschino.

Ginger juice, tonic, gin, lemongrass branch and ice. I have no idea what it's called.

My fave is the Vodka Gimlet:

Common man version: Rose's lime juice and vodka, on ice

Rich man's version: fresh lime and vodka, on ice.

I prefer the common man's version...sometimes swanky places don't have Rose's.

green beer

Ingredients:
•One 12oz. Beer - any beer will do although lighter colored beers will display the green better
•Green food coloring - one drop
Preparation:
Add one drop of green food coloring to a clear glass. Pour the beer into the glass.

That's it! This works for any beer. Darker beers like stout will have a nice green head atop their normally dark bodies.

Serves 1.

I've mentioned this before, but, while we're on the subject of "Drinks". I've created a website and blog devoted to them. I research classic cocktails, their histories and ingredients, barware, tiki stuff, cocktail music, etc....

Please, I'd love you all to take a look. It's just a site devoted to classic cocktails.
