I mean no disrespect in any way but what exactly is it about the statue that makes it in appropriate to you to for it to be around young children?
I mean I get she is topless. If it were not topless would it be acceptable?
I don't have small children at home but everyone will see nude figures in art at some point in their lives. I can't imagine having this displayed would bother me. Do you feel it will cause bad behavior? Instill a lack of values or respect towards women?
Again I am not asking sarcastically at all or trying to start an argument, or even change your mind. I just wonder when I hear this if others have actual reasons or if it is a reaction to a societal norm against nudity. This just seems different from say their Vampire Queen or other "girly statues".
Some of the greatest and most productive cultures on earth have been inundated with nudity in their art without age restrictions. My personal belief is that nude forms are best discovered early so one can get on with it throughout life instead of it having an unhealthy significance.
Total respect to you and whatever your feelings are.
Also is this available anywhere else other than ARH's website?
