A Cimmerian
I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Hmmm, there is something I don't like about the face, don't know exactly what it is.

I can't believe this isn't sold out already. I think the ES will be very small. I am really glad I pulled the trigger on it.

I'm guessing the price has something to do with that. It could also be that the more affordable solo version is eating into its sales (though that's still available too). I do agree that once the piece gets more exposure at the show, interest may pick up.

I'm glad to have one locked down too. Can't wait.

I want to pick it up ,but they do the same mistake every year and release all at the same time.I have Achilles and Leonidas and planning on Poseidon and Medusa and that taps me out.How can we afford all the cool statues they release if they don't leave time between releases.

I also agree with this. I don't think they have much of a warehouse so if you don't buy when it's immediately available you just miss out or pay high secondary market prices. If instead of 18 right now they released 4 in the odd quarters and 5 in each even quarter I might be able to get a couple more.

I like the Ariahan with hood, kneeling queen of vampires, and the Achilles a lot but am probably passing on them in favor of the Barbarian and Posiedon and possibly DD showing leg

I think this is amazing.. So tempted to get it. I have young kids though and this is a very adult statue.

You could opt to get the solo version if you're worried about the girl.

It's just not the same. It has to be the whole thing or it just does not feel complete.

I mean no disrespect in any way but what exactly is it about the statue that makes it in appropriate to you to for it to be around young children?

I mean I get she is topless. If it were not topless would it be acceptable?

I don't have small children at home but everyone will see nude figures in art at some point in their lives. I can't imagine having this displayed would bother me. Do you feel it will cause bad behavior? Instill a lack of values or respect towards women?

Again I am not asking sarcastically at all or trying to start an argument, or even change your mind. I just wonder when I hear this if others have actual reasons or if it is a reaction to a societal norm against nudity. This just seems different from say their Vampire Queen or other "girly statues".

Some of the greatest and most productive cultures on earth have been inundated with nudity in their art without age restrictions. My personal belief is that nude forms are best discovered early so one can get on with it throughout life instead of it having an unhealthy significance.

Total respect to you and whatever your feelings are.

Also is this available anywhere else other than ARH's website?
