I really do like this piece regardless of the hoopla that came along with it. Here is one im currently doing along with another that i have its hard to really make out the difference but the repaint is much brighter.

You're really slow at it
Can't wait to see the final result here.
Good job so far

Looking pretty great, darb. I'll probably repaint mine later, especially seeing how yours is shaping up. Mine isn't perfect but I can also say if I didn't know Toynami didn't produce it, I'd be hard pressed to realize the truth. I don't know how far CC went into QCing my piece if at all, but if they did then they redeemed it's final appearance, or the factory got a few really good ones past inspectors. I definitely feel that it is nothing to be ashamed about for display. It's just got the usual TG aluminum finish going on and I'm still biased for a more classic metal look so a repaint is probably in the works.

Tomorrow I'll take some pictures in daylight. I think that's my only option to get decent pictures out of my HTC m9. My lighting just isn't cutting it at 60 watts. I won't have better until I am ready to move into my new home.

With gun, wasn't too hard to install it:

Max settings, tailored for my lighting conditions, 2.5ish MB pictures:

Yeah, that's what I'm working with when I take my pictures, before they are downsized for posting. I'll take any pointers but I think it boils down to lighting and shaky hands while trying to use a finger to take pictures. I took a few with steady hands but they came out too dark. Ever since I installed the last update to my phone the other day my flash only works when I cycle through the options and then it's only once until I cycle again...

BTW I hope I'm using the right batteries. I shoved 2x of the standard size battery used for most small timer apps like this one here. They fit perfectly and the eyes light up so I can only assume

It is a tricky thing to take pics of but it does look like yours is how they came, i always star at mine when i walk by it and really like the look of the more accurate paint than the super reflective chrome.

Basically finished the head on mine he still has the mask over the eye leds. Another thing ive come across is trying not to cover up the finer details with paint so am trying to go as light as possible. I didnt strip the paint since i wasnt sure if i could without damaging the resin its made from. Ill probably start the other arm tomorrow then just need to redo the body.

I didnt need a heat gun on mine. The arm put up a fight but everything else came apart easily.
