God, this trailer is awful. I have a bit of faith it’s not representative of the film’s overall tone since Mignola is involved and he’s promised a darker vision. That said it seems more comedic than Del Toro’s take, which really surprises me. Also to my surprise I’m not really feeling Harbour as HB either. Need to see more but this is disappointing to say the least and doesn’t inspire a shred of confidence.

Wouldn’t be the first poorly constructed trailer for a good film. The music is cringe worthy and the tone comes off cheesy as hell.
Neil Marshall has earned a ton of respect from me as a director though so I’m gonna give it the benefit of the doubt, for now. All the indicators seem to point towards the studio pushing for this to be the next Deadpool though.

That trailer was really poor. I'm hopeful the film is much better than what was represented there.

There's something off about the delivery of all the jokes. They're typical American jokes but being said in a dry way. Maybe it's just poor editing and all the one liners need more context.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

The approach doesn't seem different from last 2. Thought it'd be darker.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you here...
Harbour does not look like he can pull this off in this trailer..and honestly the makeup for Hellboy looks like a bad cosplay..from still he looks great, but when in motion it just seems sooo off. And is this a comedy or an action movie...jokes were horrible, and way to many in a short trailer. Reminds me more of Men in Black than Hellboy.
I was so excited for this movie and now, not so much.

Wow this trailer makes HB1 and 2 look like works of art...looks and feels very cheesy in comparison...
