So, I originally got excited for this piece. I was kinda pumped.
Then I saw the price. $1,825 CAD.
Then I thought about shipping and cross border fees. Prob another $400 CAD.
I started to doubt.
Then I saw the statue. I was really upset. If you like this piece I don’t want to see me rant, don’t read further.
The legs sit on top of the base and you can visibly see the gap.
The head seem....dude. Like, this piece is exceptionally expensive. Like, very expensive. What happened?
Then I saw the paint. He’s dry toast. Like, you know that part during the rancor fight where you see the gamorrean drool into the cage then it pans over to the rancor head and he all wet and bubbling with sweat and top of his head is going up and down and he’s all pissed off? Not this guy.
And the coloring. The rancor isn’t just brown. His skin is highly weathered, bumpy, and ripped. Like, look at the nails on the pic I attach3d. Then look at the SS pics. Like, c’mon man...
I’m just disappointed. Sorry to crap on this. I just expected better. Especially at this price. It shouldn’t look like plastic and it does. I really wanted this.

You're right about all of that. The visible neck seam and paint kill it for me. In terms of CAD, this is a an aftermarket purchase at best.

I agree with you guys. But I need it bad. I ordered locally, so no shipping and no taxes to worry about. I am being told the paint isn't so bland in person (the lights make it look worse than it is). We will see ... I will get mine repainted and that seam fixed.

LOL @ "dry toast"
i know a lot of people dont like to have to modify statues (and you shouldnt have to at these prices) but a coat of high shine gloss followed by krylon matte finish would really bring this piece to life
