Man I HATED the Evil Dead remake. Just an awful film IMO aside from the fact it was done better previously.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I have both movies at home and I like the remake better. The original is more of a comedy to me.

I definitely like the original better but I too see it as a dark comedy. The remake was not funny at all. Except maybe the homage to the first when whats her name hold the chainsaw with her stump

Btw, Carpenter's Thing is a pure horror classic in my book and a solid 10.
Still begs the question. The film took place over what, a few days at the most?

The time span was actually spread over 6 days & Blair goes crazy on Day 2.

My god, what a graphic movie. I think it is the most gory movie I have ever seen. I watched it through the day while working from home, otherwise I think it would have been even more disturbing. It was like the Exorcist on bath salts. Ugh some stuff I can't unsee.

But as far as horror goes sometimes that is the point. It is obviously meant to be a shocking movie, and that it was. So I would give it an 8.5/10 for doing it's job. But I don't think I ever want to watch it again.
Loved this movie. I don't consider it a remake as it is completely different than the original. It bothered me so much I had to watch a nature channel for 20 minutes before I could relax lol. It's in my collection needless to say!

Girl on a Train 6/10

Maybe I had too high of expectations, I had heard how awesome this was supposed to be and thought it was just kind of blah.

Dr strange

Dr strange 7.5/10

Surprise to me like ant man. Cumberpatch plays the Stepheb strange roll perfect IMO. Special effects were pretty good. Saw it in 3D and not the typical things thrown at the screen stuff.

Dr. Strange 7/10

I went in with very little expectations. I like the character, but I'm not a huge fan. I don't like Benedict Cumberbatch and the trailers didn't get me excited. I was very impressed with the movie and visually it's easily the craziest movie experience you'll ever have.
