Dejah Thoris 1/3 scale by Premium Collectible Studio (aka: PCS )

Arrived today, and Dejah does not disappoint

I took these out of the box shots, although it was overcast today, thus they came out dark, even with an electric lamp pointing at Dejah. I wanted to avoid using the flash.

The box is heavy, very heavy, possibly the heaviest statue in my collection.

The suntan paint app looks great!
Dejah's eye's appear to want to imitate the clear eye's HMO are known to use. Presumably PCS have opted to use decals. They work, and are on point.

The chains looked weathered, which is something i suggested PCS do here on StatueForum (i wonder if PCS read my comments?)

For the price point, the base looks good as does the paint app.
If i wanted to be hyper picky, i think in the hands of the right painter, the base could look even better.

As others have reported - my Dejah also shipped with a broken bone on the base. No big deal, as it is an easy fix.

I would like to say congrats to sculptor Mark Newman for sculpting such a fine piece. May PCS offer him more work in the future, as he is one of best.

Finished repairing the broken bone this morning.
One of the bones had snapped off in transit.
Not only had the bone broken off, it had snapped in half, and a 4mm x 4mm flake (top arrow) was missing (located later in the clear plastic bag)

3 points to glue, and it turned out fine.

The Dark Knight Joker (Artist Edition) 1:4 Scale Statue from Queen Studios

Stunning piece.. my 1st Queen Studios piece
Please ignore the fact that the grenades never made it into the photo's,
as i left those in the box for when i have found a permanent display location.

I pre_ordered and paid off the Regular edition (sculpted hair), and waited and waited for shipping to happen.
The store had the Artist edition (rooted hair) in stock, so i did a deal where i paid the difference to have them ship the Artist edition.

During the un_boxing, i could hear Heather Ledger speaking the words:
Why so serious?

To open the brown shipper, 4 black plastic corners have to be removed, as they are taped on.
On opening the brown shipper, there is a black box inside, clear wrapped, with foam corners.
On removing the foam corners, clear wrap and opening the box, there is a layer of grey foam to remove.
After removing the grey foam, there is a polystyrene box, strapped XM Studios style.
The polystyrene is not the usual white polystyrene box, it is polystyrene that has been flock using the color black.
Queen Studio's appear to take packaging very seriously.
The black box weighs some. Add up all the weight of packaging, and it probably adds needless weight to a package that should really be lighter.
US - UK shipping was $200.00
Sideshow Collectibles could probably have packed Joker in a box half the size and half the weight.
Shipping (at a guess, given the current prices) would probably be roughly $120.00

Assembly is hyper simple.. Simply attached Joker to the base and add a choice of 2 right hands. Job done!
..then spend hours attaching the grenades and adjusting the purple coat (i have yet to experience this part yet)

The photo's speak for themselves. This is one amazing looking Ledger Joker 1/4 scale.
The real hair is done extremely well.
The whole outfit looks on point.
The base is what it is, basic. But it looks neat.

If i wanted to be hyper-picky, i would have liked just a little more crazy madness in the expression.
Maybe the eye's should have been slightly larger?

The 1/6th scale figure from InArt just might look closer to Ledger than the Queen Studio's piece.

The 1/4th scale statue by Queen Studio's looks better than the Prime 1/3 scale piece, in my humble opinion.
I own the Prime 1/3 Ledger bust, and it failed to blow me away, and i am not quite sure why?
