The proto vs production of this piece kinda reminds me of this...

Paint job is bad.

Is the row of teeth broken?

Someone in the comments brought it up and the reviewer replied that's not actually there, it is bad effect coming from her camera.

Hmm, ok.
I've now seen the video starting at 12:17. This is a strange camera effect.

I liked the statue from the start. I think the concept is just great and the price is right. Lara + two raptors + base in 1/4 scale. It's OK.
But this paint job on Lara really ruins it for me. The rest looks good as far as I can tell.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I have the original, and this clip is how I always describe her. I have her in a Besta with a light directly overhead. If she?s slightly too far forward, she becomes a Two-Face.

At least the old ones painted well though. Bad lighting or not, bad paint work shows.

That is not good.. the paint job... Face looks so flat...no contour, no details

I’m genuinely surprised by the YouTube comments - very little criticism, lots of praise. Do they not know how much it costs?

I do think it’s mostly a hit (despite the proto downgrade), but that downgrade + that head paint for the price are just not going to work.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

That lighting is terrible. Don't judge on those pics man. It's washing everything out.

These aren’t the first pics though. Every one I’ve seen looks consistently not well painted. As I said, bad lighting doesn’t hide sloppy paint. Subtle paint in skin tones, sure, but a sloppily painted eye doesn’t change just because there’s a lighting difference.

I am going to hold onto my order and see it in person or at least base judgement on decent pics. Blurry and poorly lit pics can be deceptive, which I hope is the case here.
