Strange - those Android figures are already available as recasts from any number of online Chinese dodgy sellers......I'm not suggesting people should buy them (because, if nothing else the quality will likely be extremely poor) - I'm just wondering how those Chinese sites got access to an original to recast, and why the original artist was too slow (or stupid) to release this to the public BEFORE such recasts entered the market.

Apologies, I know I'm repeating myself somewhat - but it drives me mad how these artists are so good at what they do, but border on idiocy when it comes to getting their works out to market.

Ironically, I would be put off buying these pieces / kits just because of the rampant recasts done of them. I don't endorse buying cheap and nasty copies - but at the same time, why should I pay top dollar, when the careless artist has (somehow) enabled less discerning individuals to buy it at a fraction of the price?

MANAS S.U.M is a legit company that works with the artists. You always see the name Manas associated with the name of the artist behind the project. There is no theft of artistic/ intellectual property.
Meaning artists get themselves paid.

I think you've misunderstood my post. I never said that MANAS S.U.M is shady. In fact I've never heard of them before this thread......

If you read my post, I actually assume this is an authentic release (because, otherwise you wouldn't post it here) - my point is that these Android statues / garage kit have been and are available ALREADY for months (at least) on known recasting sites - just Google and see for yourself.

So, again, assuming MANAS S.U.M is legit - they and the artist is they represent, are late to their own party.....
