Don't project your excuse for low standards on other people.

I'm pretty sure it's the opposite, actually. Artists have a more accurate ability to identify if something is off, more than someone who doesn't sculpt or draw. I draw in my spare time and I know when my likenesses are off and need to scrap it. It's that attention to detail that differs from someone who isn't artistic, who looks at a sculpt and goes, 'eh, good enough, I know who it's meant to be'

Also just because you know how difficult sculpting is, that's no reason to settle for a poor likeness

This honestly (to me) looks like the amber heard bust slightly tweaked with blonde hair.

I think with these 1/1 scale busts the light is even more super important when comparing product images with photos (even movie stills) from the actual person.

I like this bust.
The dragon to the left and right are nice too, but the dragon at the front is missing something. A bit cheap looking esp. around his head (open mouth).
Not fierce enough or maybe they should add (medium size) translucent fire breath to that one.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Sure this bust is not 100% and we also need better pictures, but saying it looks nothing like her and that prime1 piece is better likeness is a bit much, not so long ago we had the discussion it looked like felicity jones from rogue 1 for god sakes XD

Surely there's a chance they will tweak it? Pieces like their gal gadot and Amber heard look perfect to me, they can surely get closer before release

Maybe if Infinity used a photo album their statue would look like Daenerys instead of her cousin.

Even better: scan Emilia, 3D print, mold, cast.
