There is no denying this, although with the overall lackluster performance of most of the other teams that have played, it isn't saying much. We'll see how Italy does today and Brazil tomorrow.

Denmark were great, I agree, more than a match for the overhyped Netherlands.
Japan vs Cameroon, not worth the 90 minutes of my life I spent watching it.
Italy 1-0 down to Paraguay, which is deserved based on their negative play and playacting.
Watch when an Italian player goes down, they hold themselves like they've been gutted, and then when they notice their team has the ball, they get up within two seconds and start running...

Yeah disappointed on the Cameroon outcome....had high expectations for that squad....
The over dramatics I tell ya by some of these players is ridiculous...red card the flat out obvious...

I have to agree. I was hearing that the main complaints have been the Jabulani ball, and the pitch having too much synthetic grass, not to mention the damn horns!
Whatever it is, the games and the teams themselves have been pretty lackluster, excluding Germany so far.

I feel ya...but it is only the 1st few days...I think the play or go home mentality hasnt set in yet for these teams....the WC ends in July...I think itll pick up by the 3rd game....once that "Im bout to be eliminated feeling" kicks in for them

For sure teams don't want to lose the first game but that does not excuse poor technique. Hopefully once we get into the knock-out phase things will pick up.

Oh absolutely, things are just getting going, I think that it just seems to have gotten off to a slow start. The games have all been draws or low scoring games, so far. Two more days and we begin with everyone's second games, should hopefully be a bit better the second time around. Everyone's warmed up now, so lets get some balls in those nets!

I don't foresee anyone playing the way they did this week during the knockout round, except Germany of course.

So far the bottom of the barrel Asian teams have won their games...France, Italy, England, Cameroon disappointing performances...ever1 else was lackluster....let's wrap this 1st week up already and get on to the desperation round...the games are so much more exciting when the teams are faced with going home!.....I ain't gonna lie...if I was there...I would be rocking the Horn too...lol
