I remember we had threads on here years back with people complaining about their PVC Koto Star Wars and the early bishoujo statues breaking down. I also disregarded them as my Jim Lee Batman was/is going strong.

You actually make an interesting point with the air conditioning piece. That would be the sole environmental difference between my office and my home where it had been for years in perfect shape. I wonder if it caused some kind of chemical reaction.....

PVC or some other material, there's no reason for Gal Gadot to have a glue puddle on her right thigh. It actually looks disgusting in person.

Sorry about your luck on that one man.

The PVC is such a catch 22. Allows for cheaper and more durable pieces but it seems to spontaneously go to ----e.

If you want a replacement body for Wonder Woman send an email to Taku@kotobukiya.us.com and tell him I referred you to him.

Brief video review of the Wonder Woman statue from the Kotobukiya ArtFX series. Based on her appearance as portrayed by actress Gal Gadot in the 2017 Wonder Woman movie directed by Patty Jenkins.

For me, I tend to avoid the PVC statues if the character has most black paint or black colour. It doesn't happen everytime, but my experience all these years of collecting is that if a pvc is mostly black like Batman, and the colour is not painted but part of the plastic, generally they will sweat. Oily substance will keep oozing out of it. No matter how many thousand times I wash it with mild soap. They just come back. This is due to the plasticizer inside the plastic migrating to the surface over time. Even the first ToyBiz X-Men movie action figures like the Wolverine's black boots, they ooze "oil"/sweat. Other ones, with sprayed painted capes could also become sticky. But not so oily.

However, my Yamato Street Fighter Cammy statues and other Kotobukiya PVC statues are fairing okay. No sweating. No oil. Doing okay. After almost 14 years.
