I just ordered one and would like to mod it. Would it be better to spray it with https://www.super-hobby.fr/zdjecia/5/3/9/976_rd.png or with https://www.super-hobby.fr/zdjecia/2/3/9/1225_rd.png please ? Would you cover the clothes too or only the skin. Also, last time I tried coating with a spray can if I looked very closely to the statue when dry I could see tiny dried drops everywhere. Would I get a better result with a quality coat can from Mr Hobby and/or would it be even better with an airbrush ?

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I'm not 100% what the difference is, beyond the UV part. I'd suggest looking on Youtube for some of the Monster High doll customizers, and see if there's more info about which one is "better." I think I've seen them used interchangeably though, so I'm pretty sure either should work. MSC is the go-to for all the folks customizing vinyl (and PVC) dolls, it's good stuff. I have bottles of the UV one (as it was all I could find at the time) that I'm gonna use to mod some Monster High Dolls into characters like Spiral, and Jubilee, in the near future to try it out.

Whatever you do, make sure you spray it in a dry/low humidity area. If you do it above a certain humidity %, it will blush or trap moisture underneath it, and cause cloudiness. The only way to get rid of that white blushing is to totally strip it off, so it's better to do it in a fore sure dry air environment right off the bat. You don't want to have to deal with that nonsense. If you spray it when it's dry, you should be good to go.

Thanks for your message and your great advice concerning humid environment!

I received it and it's terrible! The pose is nice but it is so glossy that it looks like a 20$ figure... I get to the point I am not sure I will keep it...

I used a Mr. Color flat clear finish, applied with an airbrush, and did some smoothing on her skin with a fine emery cloth afterwards. Ironically, her face actually does have the correct flat skin finish, in contrast to the rest of her body, so I didn't need to do anything there. Here are the after pics:
Very nice results but why did you not go with a full matt finish? I just got mine and am now wondering if I should apply the matt coating to the full statue or only the skin parts ??!
