I am a bit salty about it but, I wouldn't have purchased the dark phoenix if I knew this was going to come out in the future. But there is no sense in complaining, cant change it now.

This was a hard pass for me as well. It was tempting to have the normal head displayed with DP and the EX displayed with GP, but in the end I just couldn’t double dip on the sculpt. Congrats to everyone who ordered. I think if SS were able to use the translucent water effect that they used on The Aspen PF to mimic the iconic Uncanny X-Men 101 cover I would have bit.

I just asked them on chat and the person said by "clear" they meant you can sort of see through it, if that makes sense. Still the same red base, but ya they could have initially been going with a clear base from the beginning.

Interesting that they chose to add that to the variant description if there was no intention to alter it from the original.
