There's really not much choice Primal. If you want to go portable there is only one model out there the S50. I think it runs around $275 and you can probably pick it up at any of the usual places, BestBuy, CircuitCity, PC Richards. However, it isn't truly portable. You can listen to it live while it's docked at home but if you want to take it with you on the go and listen, you have to download the content onto the radio first. I hear that they have a truly portable unit coming down the road soon. Might be worth waiting for that one unless you don't mind downloading the content.

Yup. I think XM may have a true live unit but Sirius doesn't, yet. I was actually thinking about getting a Sirius subscription and the portable unit for Christmas but then I found out it wasn't really portable so I held off. And back then the sales guy I spoke to said that a truly portable unit was coming within 6 months so it should be announced soon.

sirius has the delphi sport.. version 2.0 that can be taken out and placed in a home receiver as well. then there is a more portable version..
how much do you want to spend?
just got to their web site and you can check out a ton of products. sirius or XM are the way to go. free radio is a drag so to speak.

Really had no cutoff price. Obviously the cheaper the better. But whatever's best for portable use.

I'm not sure CK is talking about portable in the same terms you are. Unless they've brought out some new units I'm pretty sure the only "portable" one is the S50. I went back and checked their website and that's the only unit under portable.
