Sorry to break it to you Yac, but George Lucas made up Star Wars, if he says it's from bugs in the bloodstream, then that's the word from the guy who created the Star Wars universe. I think it's crap too, but it's his brain child, not mine...just because the "midiclorians" lobotomized Vader's power level in the process, that's just one of the many foul ups in the newer stories, IMHO.

the printed stuff just fills in between the movies and after return of the jedi. there are some stories way before episode 1 I think

hell KOTOR is a few thousand years before episode 1, and i have no doubt that there are plenty of Jedi that would destroy Doom (and 90% of other comic book people) in seconds flat, i just don't think Vadar is one of them
