Weta produce very few LOTR items and in much less quantities than when LOTR was hot. Plus very few current LOTR collectibles run the $700+ price range that Prime 1 sells. I’m hoping the Prime 1 GOT line does well, but Gentle Giant’s TWD line was a failure (with many items clearanced by retailers up to 50% off). TV fans are no where as big of collectible buyers as genre fans like with LOTR and Star Wars. GOT may have been better served by 1/6 scale line in the $250 to 350 range to appeal to midrange buyers.
I just wish Prime 1 would offer some statues with more simple bases. While P1 is known for there big statues, there should be license no scale or size restrictions that drives some of their lines.

Yep. Plus there’s plenty of Star Ware stuff on clearance, especially the Disney era movies. Sideshow still has TFA statues and Hot Toys figures in stock. And Sideshow has yet to make a TLJ statue of any character. If the demand was there Sideshow wouldn’t waste the opportunity to product statues under their license.

If Blitzway is doing the portraits and Prime 1 the rest this is an easy buy for me. Say what you want about the latest season I am still invested in the GoT stories and characters. With a spin off coming in two to three years and hopefully the next book I am ready for more collectibles.

Simple bases is exactly what I don't want from from p1 or any statue company. I would also argue that got is a bigger franchise than LOTR and has more potential than it.

Am not GOT fan but what i see from Prime1 is cooking with first statue i may consider to get it. The statue is extremely beautiful and hard to resist even you are not fan.

You overstimate the hard to resist thing at this price level and if price level will be lower and statue simpler nobody will care

With Blitzway involved, these will almost certainly be mixed media.
