The first movie pulled off a miracle by breathing new life into a stone-cold-dead franchise. Making Star Trek exciting and fresh again was something I frankly didn't think could be done.
I can't wait to see a sequel.

What are your thoughts on the original series?
Do you consider yourself a fan of the first show?

Oh yeah! I've been a fan of the first show since I was toddler. I was overjoyed to find that the recent movie captured the characters so vividly. I hadn't felt that Star Trek thrill in ages and ages until the last movie came out.

I'm a fan of the original series and have just finished watching season 3 on Blu Ray. You have got to get this series on BD. Its stunning.

I would appreciate if they would revolve a new story around the core exploration message of the original Trek.

Space, final frontier
Boldy go,
Seek out new civilizations,
Why Starfleet even exists at all.

They don't have to sacrifice drama or action for that.

My vote is for war with the Kilingons...it'd be great to see a huge space battle on the screen.

Damon Lindelof Talks About Struggle To Find Title For Star Trek Sequel (Without AColon) | TrekMovie.com
Any suggestions? I am not sure if it's okay to distance themselves from the Trek name all together, of course it works for the Bond movies.

I have the OST season 1-3 remastered DVD boxes.

Is it realy worth the upgrade to Blu?

I know Blu is much better than DVD, it's like comparing a segway to a Harley.

But how much can you do with such an old show?

I like the first new Star Trek movie(JJ Abrams).

Abrams Star Trek is very different from Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek. I enjoyed Abrams movie but it does not come near to any of of it's predecessors.

How to Watch the First Trailer for 'Star Trek Into Darkness' | Movie News | Movies.com

https://www.facebook.com/OfficialStarTrekIntoDarkness
New FB page needs to get 5000 Likes, after which they will release the teaser trailer.

https://www.facebook.com/StarTrekMovie
Wish they had continued to update things on their existing official Star Trek movie page which already has 2 million likes.

EDIT:
Looks like it's not legit.

How to Watch the First Trailer for 'Star Trek Into Darkness' (UPDATE) | Movie News | Movies.com
"Update: We're being told that the below Facebook page is not affiliated with Paramount Pictures or Star Trek Into Darkness, which means no matter how many people like it, we won't be seeing the film's first trailer -- at least not this way. Sorry for the confusion folks, and we'll let you know when the real trailer will premiere as soon as we get word."
