RIP - Chrissy Amphlett

Was driving home from work today when I heard Chrissy Amphlett had died in New York after a long battle with cancer.

I grew up listening to the Divinyls and even had a poster of Chrissy on my bedroom wall. Back then, you couldn't go to a party without hearing the Divinyls cranking on the stereo.

Very sad to hear

Absolutely Otto. Some Divinyls, Angels, AC/DC and some Chisel I even had a bit of a crush on Chrissy back in the day.

I think I recall their song "I touch myself" but not much more. They kinda had a Pretenders vibe.

They were pretty much pub rock. Here's a classic from many years ago:

Haven't clicked the link and I'm still 99% sure it'll be Boys In Town?

RIP to the first lady of Aussie Rock n Roll

I can't say I was a fan of the band. However, cancer is a very tough and scary battle. Condolences go out to the family.
