I think CGI has different results with different people. I would say it was hideous. CGI people always look terrible when on screen with real people and props. I'm surprised when people say it looks good, but obviously it does to them. I like RO a lot, but Cassian and Jyn had almost no character. The rest of the cast was generally good.

I felt Felicity Jones tried too hard to play some "badass chick" but she came off more like someone with practically no personality, no emotions just someone very stiff...

That said, she still did an ok job and the overall story was still good so I still rate Rogue One as one of the better Star Wars movies...

As for the CGI, I thought it was ok with Tarkin but they did keep him in dark scenes with low lighting, with Leia the lighting was kind of bright which made the CGI look a bit less real... they still have a ways to go to perfect it, even in the new movie Rise of Skywalker the Carrie Fisher scenes were not flawless, they kind of look like they were cut and pasted into the new stuff... but overall they were still decent.
