They all seem to be on track. I've seen early samples of Lady Death and Captain Marvel and both are looking really fantastic. I haven't seen any samples of Dark Phoenix yet. Hopefully soon!

If SS invests in a production factory in the US, SS can essentially offer services to other companies including production line manufacturing services, 3d printing services, prototype painting... There are also many other Fx/movie schools/companies in the US that might use your prospective services.
The quality of your product will definitely increase, you will be able to create artistic jobs and skills won’t be lost to outsourcing. I understand that your bottom line profit might take a hit but isn’t it worth investigating another business model than simply outsourcing the heart of your product?

U.S. production of these kinds of collectibles would place retail pricing for a standard PF at $1K or even more when all is said an done. Manufacturing overseas is still going to give customers a better retail price point at this time (even though I know many think otherwise given the every increasing price point for items).
As for QC, product development, etc...we've had a great team of project managers in place for a little over a year that are as passionate as folks can be to try and get great product into the hands of customers/fans. They are constantly rotating through going to the factories for 2 weeks at a time to oversee the progress on all various projects. When not overseas they are in contact with the factories and receiving samples throughout the manufacturing lifecycle of a project on a consistent/constant basis.
But even with all the trips back and forth, samples, communication, etc. issues will still arise and in some cases fixes can occur and in cases where it's not possible they are trying to ensure that issue doesn't arise in a future release.

There are more Iron Man products in the future but I'm not a liberty to say what versions they are at this time.

Some adjustments have been made since these items went up for order, so that $100 Flat Rate shipping doesn't apply to as many countries as before.

Obi-Wan is still in the works but as to what medium...I don't know at this time. I just know he's going to be explored as a collectible in the future.

Sideshow have always been very kind to us international folk when it comes to shipping costs, this is very much appreciated and helps a little with all of the extra charges we face. I know I wouldn't be able to order nearly so much without the discounted shipping costs. Is this helpful policy changing or were they just listed incorrectly? Thanks.
|
Some adjustments were made to ship costs since Batman and Catwoman went up for Pre-Order. Most international countries/regions will be receiving a 30% discount off the actual ship cost of items shipped for many items (Batman and Catwoman included).

Currently I have to youtube unboxing videos and go through it all until I get figure out where the pieces go... its very time consuming.
Thanks

Great idea! I'm passing it along to see what's possible!

Strong continuous pre-orders of items are one factor that can determine if more products in a line are made. That said, some lines from the get go may have a license or time limit in place that will only allow for X amount of characters to be made in a line.

I don't know if any of the above characters you listed will get a PF treatment in the future, sorry.
As for how many more CotD Pre-Orders after Death...possibly 2 more before the year is done.

Still on a very long list of programming to-dos. There are a lot of higher priority to-dos at this time but maybe something can be ready before the end of the year. We'll see. *fingers crossed*

Paypal is a secondary service not owned by Sideshow, so FLEXpay and Paypal cannot integrate together.

More X-Men collectibles are in the pipeline. As to who they are (new, revisits, etc), I'm not allowed to say. Y'all will just have to keep an eye on the site and social channels for any official product reveals. :-)

The Sandtrooper will be the minority at that price point going forward. I'm not a project manager or other power that be that are part of the price point determination but of what I do know....pricing to manufacture continues to rise, royalty costs/licensing costs continue to rise, and so on, so forth. Sandtrooper was an older project that got going way before Kylo Ren and the recent First Order Stormtrooper, so that could have a determining factor for price point as well (i.e.: item was in development and overseas prior to some newer PFs)

Sideshow is not actively pursing the Labyrinth license. On a side note...I personally wish we were still doing Dark Crystal collectibles though!

Samples coming in weren't to the Project Manager's liking which has caused most of the delay. Final production pics of this item should be up sometime this month.

More Iron Man in the works but as I said in an answer to a similar question above, I'm not allowed to go into specifics. Any new product announcements will be done on the Sideshow site or social channels first.

He is a polystone piece, save for the fabric cape and any delicate parts (such as the 'wing tips' protruding from his boot tops for example) that could break if made out of polystone.

Are the new TMNT statues based loosely on the new Nickelodeon cartoon? So we could possibly see characters from the new series that weren't in the original? i.e. TigerClaw, FishFace, Snakeweed
Thanks

There will be no new MOTU statues on display at SDCC.
The new TMNT statues are Sideshow's take on the turtles with comic and cartoon mixed in somewhat.

I also understand that a company is rising their prices annually due rising costs from third party company and components..
But this is a head scratcher for me.. The Sandtrooper and the Stormtrooper.... can you please explain price difference ?
The Sandtrooper was not even 2 months ago for PO .. has more difficult paint ap.. more detailed base.. more accessories (Backpack) etc.. over the plain Stormtrooper...
As a collector who loves your items, I dont understand you pricing and it seams that TFA products are getting extra high prices (Kylo Ren has a HUGE price tag compared to Vader or other PF)

I've answered much to this above to another person that asked a similar question.

Also, will SS be releasing the new TMNT realistic set as one order, like you guys did with the Prime 1 90's TMNT?
Thanks!

If an Edition Size is set, Prime 1 will let us know what they should be and the pages will be updated accordingly.

The Darkseid PF isn't having anything changed. It arrived with issues that made it un-shippable to customers, so they were all scrapped and new ones are being manufactured.

There won't be any MOTU items on display at SDCC (they were shown last year and there too much new this year that we're not really allocating much space for repeat showings). Final shipping samples of all pieces will be photographed and placed up on the web for folks to see before the items ship though.
