I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Indeed, we can all benefit from one another. There are so many to list. Better off just starting from Phase 1.

Hunt is probably the 3rd best part imo.

1. Opening up the box for the first and assembling
2. Winning the auction/buying, sniping especially
3. The hunt
4. Finding a perfect spot for display

Before Ebay was huge, for me there was nothing like traveling to different comic book stores looking for Collectables. Going to the back of the store and up on a top shelf covered in a layer of dust was a Bowen statue that had been there since the day they got it still with the original retail price even though it was worth considerably more. Unfortunately that doesn’t happen now adays, even if you find a store with a statue you want the first thing they do is pull out there phone and check EBay asking prices lol! Not even sold for prices. Hunting for deals isint what it used to be.

It’s very difficult. A lot of the grails we all want were hard to find locally when they came out never mind now stumbling onto one. It’s almost all private sales today or if you’re really desperate fee bay!

I'm just glad I was around for Rocky's Vault, even if it was mostly busts...I don't know if I'd own some of the pieces I do/did if I wasn't. Crazy times.

Same here! I had been out of collecting for some time and had come back in at middle to tail end of Rocky’s Vault, picked up some nice pieces before the door slammed shut.

Yeah rockys vault got me back into bowen, got about 7 new pieces directly from the vault and a few more on Fee bay. At that time the prices on the bay were rock bottom so it was win win for me.

Handful most likely . 85% are very reasonable there are a few that cost a lot

Hydro man
Surtur
Eternity
Chrome surfer
Pyro
Guardian
Physcho man
Etc etc

Small numbers made and very well executed sculpts translates to $$$
