Yes and yes.

Full props to my retailer - received a response and confirmation of a replacement the same day. There was mention of colour and plain boxes so I'm fairly confident I'll see a positive resolution.

I'm still a bit curious about what Tweeterhead and distributors are doing with the original versions. I'm hoping it's just been a mis-management of inventory but I'd hate to think Tweeterhead went to the trouble and expense of creating a second run only to see distributors trying to double dip and get away with selling both versions.

I replied back to Gwendolyn with pics but she hasn't responded yet. They were a little slow to respond to my initial CS question to begin with so I'll give them another day or two before I follow up.
