This is the Beauty & the Beast I'd like to see made.

But all I really want is Sleeping Beauty. Please, Sideshow, don't stop this line at 4. Give us Sleeping Beauty and Belle....and the Evil Queen. A nice round 7 characters (at least).

I'd like that one too but it would have to be done very well. It would be a showpiece for sure.

As a guy though I'm not gonna apologize for liking the more pinup lewdness of the other one.

I will respectfully disagree with this, as you can look up any Jim Lee variant cover for DC and see it's far from worthless on the market.

Campbell deserves nothing but kudos for creating trademark covers to his fanbase that clearly can't get enough.

Name me one other successful cover artist on the market right now that generates this much buzz or deserving of a statue series?

It's slim pickens bub.

Stanley Lau is heading in the same direction.

Intrinsic value is what I am referring. I'm not talking a premium for Campbell as an artist. I obviously know his level.
After enough time Campbell has released prints of some of his variants. So the value of the "image" of the variant goes from the value of the comic to the price of the print.

C'mon Hanky you've been around the block. Lee's DC stuff is a current trend. It's just like in the 90s. Remember how much variants were worth? hundreds When enough people decided to sell all of a sudden they weren't worth that and they became garbage. You can find them in the dollar bins at mass comic shop sales. BUT at least Lee still does interior art and all kinds of things.

You think people will pay hundreds long term, years down the road for mags with a different cover especially when it's been done to death? Ain't gonna happen. People that want the image will just save a scan to their computer and call it today. This stuff isn't original art. Eventually some buyers are gonna get shafted in the end, literally and figuratively.

I’d love a Jasmine or Tiana. Those two are my favorite prints from his series and would give us some nice diversity.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Jasmine as well as Beauty and the Beast would be must buys for me, if they were close to the original art.

You make some fair points regarding popularity waning over the years and thus eventually prices do tend to fall.

What you should consider in this whole intrinsic value is the volume of what is printed.

Fans and retailers were buying X-Men #1 in BULK back in the day, similar to Death of Superman, etc.

Here's it's a different ballgame, hence, why I don't think it applies and the value will only climb over time.

Campbell realizes this and rightfully should charge a fee to his signature. It's only common cents.

Stanley Lau is in a league of his own and far surpasses Campbell in terms of popularity and skillsets (i.e. painting).

Sideshow will be cranking out a TON more statues and prints in the years to come.
