I get the new posts of threads I'm subscribed to via e-mail. How is the new posts feature better?

Thank you for the info I was just wondering about the search function. When the movie opens tonight I am sure there will be another wave on the Transformer site.

It's faster than email...And if you are on the forum and you hear an email notification...Ya don't have to check your email to see which one it's in...Just click NP...

I don't know, because I've never subscribed to a thread, and never wanted to clog my inbox up with e-mail alerts. But I can log on at work on a British morning, click new posts and at a glance see every thread posted in since I was last on. Which is particularly useful for moderating!

It's kinda like a refresh button to me.
I just hit the button and all the threads that have new posts are bold

Instead of shutting down the one option that we all use the most how about shutting down "Members Galleries", "FAQ", "Calendar", "Quick Links"? Really, how many times have any of us used those?

If y'all will go to User CP...click on subscriptions...list all...you can keep up with new posts by hitting the refresh button...It will not alert you to new threads...but will help you keep up with the ones you are most interested in...
