Gears of War 3 beta

Couldn't find a thread of this. I made one so we can share our thoughts i guess.

I got to play the beta early from a friend. All I can say is: it's f'en awesome. So far the game is looking great. I'll just say that it's nothing like an updated Gears 2. Don't wanna ruin much.

Anyone tried it out so far? Thoughts? Questions? Share them friends

unless you won an early access code from cliff b on facebook the other day, there's no way you're playing this now

Sorry typo. Just edited it. I meant to say I played it at a friend's house. He got an early VIP access from the Epic forums. I just wanted to make a thread so we can share our thoughts on it.

I played it for around 7 hours. I actually stayed at my friends to play more

I can start playing tomorrow. I'm gonna try to get the 100 retro lancer kills in the first week

Kool me too. Trust me bro, nothing like Gears 2. A lot of changes. Even picking up the weapons is new. Gonna be hard to get use to the game

If you prebuy GOW3 at Gamestop, you can get the Beta, right?

Yup except the Gamestop beta starts next week. But don't worry you won't be missing much except for a weapon skin unlock (which I think it's for beta use only).

So far they only have Team Deathmatch game mode, but Epic will be updated the beta with more features each week. You'll have more varieties when GS beta releases

Lucky dog!!! Probably my most anticipated game right now. I rarely shell out the dough to buy new games since I spend most of my money on statues. But this one, I will get at midnight of opening day and stay up as long as possible playin' it.

By the way, give us a carrot, brother! You don't have to spoil, but something would be nice.

I'm the same way, I hardly ever buy new games but this one is the rare exception.

On a side note, Epic is located right near where I work. Needless to say there are some Ferraris and Porsche's in the parking lot.
