I also noticed the PVC version has a much smaller scaled base.

Decided to PO the PVC version. If they get the face right, I'll be happy.

I agree with you. Having 'A Touch of Ice' and considering it the best statue I've ever seen, I don't have a problem either.
The resin Wei Ho statues are really nice, but I honestly don't think the fact they are resin makes them inherently better than they would be from PVC.
The only thing I demand from the material is that it's stable & doesn't self-destruct. As a result hot cast bronze seems like a really good idea, but possibly a little difficult to cast with the same level of detail.
Regards,
Richard.

All my statues are resin except one, Yamato Fantasy Gallery Black Tinkerbell. I think it looks really good. Just cause PVC is cheaper, doesn't mean it does look as good.

PVC always has that shiny look to it. Plus I've had a few bad experiences with Koto's PVC statues with the paint becoming sticky. Given it only happen to a few of them but it still turned me off to PVC statues.

Of my [admittedly limited] range of statues, the 4 PVC ones are the ones that are least shiny. These are TOI, 1/6 Ritual, Golden Lover & Sacrifice. The skin on the resin statues (Hera/Aphrodite/Selene) has a higher level of glossiness.
Maybe it's all down to the paint shop the manufacturer uses & each manufacturer's products should be considered on their own merits as opposed to comparing with a different manufacturer's. I can't really draw wide conclusions based on my experience though, only having Yamato statues.
Regards,
Richard.

I agree, my Yamato PVC statue is does not have glare. It's up to the paint job. Maybe only Yamato makes very good PVC statues.
