I've actually had this for awhile but I wanted to keep to myself just to enjoy for a little. Never thought I'd be able to own a page of this magnitude from one of my favorite storylines (maybe second only to Planet Hulk), but I definitely consider myself very lucky that day it arrived.
My first Perez OA, and hopefully not my last. It will be difficult to top this for me though, especially since the person who sold this to me has the big three pages of this storyline and pretty much has said that they're off limits. Love George's use of blacks, the sheer size of Maestro and the look of terror on the faces in the last few panels. And for you Red Sonja fans, she makes an appearance too
Peter David's rich portrayal of the dystopian society in which Maestro rules, complete with the odd speech of the future (a nice little touch), was beyond memorable and immediately bumped this miniseries to the top of the must-read list. I highly recommend it for anyone who hasn't read it, even if you are not a Hulk fan.
Without further ado, The Incredible Hulk: Future Imperfect, Issue #1 pg 30.
