My Sydney Supanova Haul

So Sydney Supanova has come and gone, and it was a fun few days. I started working on a new jam piece, which I'm really liking the look of.

Wolverine - David Yardin
Robin - Jin Chan
Cyclops - Jeffrey 'Chamba' Cruz
Harvey Pekar - Bruce Mustad
Wonder Woman - Nicola Scott
Nightwing - Gee Hale
Punisher - Paul Mason

When I was talking to Royd (see photo!)

after picking up my piece from Nicola, I noticed that Tony Moore was doing $20 sketches as opposed to $200. Score. I showed him my jam but sadly he wasn't doing anything as detailed, so I pulled out my sketch book and he drew a nice Rick.

The person in front of me got a free quick sketch from Jim, so I asked him if he could do one for me.

I also picked up an Earth 2 rough/prelim from Nicola.

Jennifer Hale is a voice over actress whose most well known work includes Commander Shepard from Mass Effect and Bastila Shan from Knights of the Old Republic (a game I love). She said that I was the first person to ever ask her to draw a picture, and that she couldn't draw. But I still think it's cool.

The trip was half business (kind of) as I was there filming for a show I work on. I was lucky enough to interview Matthew Reilly and get a photo after.

Really dig the Pekar on the jam piece. Nice character mix on the jam piece.

Wow! Reckon that's the first time I've seen Harvey Pekar, the Punisher and Robin all in the same sketch! Did you request the particular characters or just leave it up to the artists?

Love Yardin's almost Byrne X-men style Wolverine, how good is that guy?

Cool jam piece, loved the David Yardin Wolverine and Nicola Scott WW! The Tony Moore quick sketch was also neat!

Great to hear that you managed to interview Matthew Reilly! I was the person who invited him to Supanova I ran his name past the promoter (Daniel Z.) and asked if I could invite Matthew to the June shows.

After explaining Matthew's background and popularity, Daniel said to extend the invitation. So I sms'd Matthew and he kindly agreed to attend and the response was huge with amazingly long queues for his signature and photos!
