The reason why I think is ex or fail is simply because the visor looks completely different for the regular version. Personally, I think it's ugly. Which is the same reason why the Sonic sparks look so much better on the exclusive than on the regular (the regular look like thick fries)
ex ordered although it's a shame that I can't put it with the other three suits now

A 1/4 Samus is exactly what I wanted but this might be a pass for me as well.
One thing is the lights like already discussed. They fail. They look cool but years later your Ex essentially turns into a regular. And if you need to sell, something I normally don't do but hey, interests can change and this is a line of Samus suits, one might want to sell one suit and get another they like better...but it might be a harder sell when you say "lights no longer work",
I also only need (want, lol) 1 Samus and it probably wouldn't be this suit although it looks cool and has the honor of being the 1st 1/4 Samus.
Another, and it never bothered me until now... The anatomy looks crazy! Which isn't F4F's fault, that's always been her design, but in a 1/4 museum pose it's really glaring to me and my mind keeps thinking its impossible for a body to be inside this suit. It never bothered me before, we're talking about a character who rolls into a perfect ball lol so I don't know why it's bothering me now.

Is this suit really going to sell 750 Ex's and 2500 Reg's? I sure hope so. I'm already worried this line won't last long enough to get a Varia...

Ganondorf, as nice as it came out, is still sitting. F4F didn't listen to the people about the ES on that one, and the people were right. Samus might be a different case. Unlike Ganondorf
- she's the main character
- she's cheaper, Ganondorf at that price point and high ES was a tougher sell
- people like lights
- But she's also not the classic looking version many wanted
If the ES was what SS did for Master Chief (300 Ex & 750 Reg I think) they'd likely move units with no problems and we'd probably sooner see the next release.
If they've got these high ES on not quite as popular characters, their 1/4 Link is looking to have a way overblown ES and guaranteed to be selling below MSRP from retailers looking to move it, just like Ganondorf now.

Ganondorf will start selling better when 1/4 Zelda and Link are released.

Definitely not Zelda :P And I'm pretty sure Zelda will massively undersell.... But personally I don't think the ganon will end up selling better later. I do think the ES is a bit high but I hope it sells well enough so that we get more suits!

Ganondorf reg is sold out in North America on their website, I think when zelda and the link pf finally comes out for pre order he will sell more and close the distance- Zant is pretty much sold out (lower ES tho)
Ganon is such a sweet statue, I love mine

Ganon is available from many other retailers, at a hefty discount too.
edit: also just checked the EX is still available on f4f website so they probably just dumped their stock of regulars onto retailers cheap.

Yeah, F4F's edition sizes are strange. Having Darunia at 2500 was a pretty big mistake.
I think both Zelda and Samus will sell better than Ganondorf. For starters, they are about $100 cheaper. Secondly, they are both female characters, with Samus having the benefit of fitting into generic sci-fi collections.
