Demithyle The Reaper: Death’s General V2.0
What do you guys think, is this the new one? This was all the info previously gathered. We see the new base, but nothing else seems to have changed.

me: hi, I was just wondering if it was true that you guys plan on releasing a variant to the Demithyle Reaper general in the COTD line? Just thought I'd ask before planning on paying aftermarket prices for the first one. Thanks!
Just a moment...
Sideshow Elisse: Hello!
me: hello!
Sideshow Elisse: Yes that is correct.
me: oh, ok, cool beans. You wouldn't happen to know what will be different about the variant would you? [grin]
[grin]
Sideshow Elisse: Our production team is currently in the works of making a similar Demithyle, it will be the same character.
Color scheme will be different and the base will be different
me: ok, thanks for the info Elisse, appreciate it. Have a good one
Sideshow Elisse: You're welcome!
Have a great day!

That's just the old Reaper on Mortighull's base.
The new one is supposed to be a whole new colour scheme, new cut & Sew etc.
If Sideshow are planning on actually releasing that then a lot of owners of the original are gonna be super pissed off.

not necessarily. Why put him on a new base when you still have the original laying around from the past SDCC? Just because it is supposed to be doesn't mean they didn't change their minds. We will have to wait for Alex or Igo to confirm this or not. I would imagine this won't have the COH or sword, so the original would still have exclusivity.

Teaches you for supporting one of their original lines early I guess ^^

So this suppose to be the same size as the LSF? Looks just as big next to the picture.
Base on this looks nicer than the first.

At the time, Alex said it would have been cheaper.

For me it's pretty obvious it's the new one because:
-wouldn't make no sense to put the old one on a new base just for the picture;
-the left arm is different;
-the scythe is different;
-the posture is different.
And that's quite understandable, with very few changes they don't have to cut a totally new steel mold at the factory in China, hence more money saved for the company.
Imho doesn't really matter if the differences are big or small, the first one will always be the original.
