I display mine with the helmeted head and the sword so I'm glad I have the first version.

if SS is remaking the Reaper its another slap in the face to original customers apart from the base it is almost identical.

While the original was very well done. The one thing that bugged me about it was that most of the base was hidden by the cape. I think the new circular base is the right way to go for this piece.

Its basically a continuation of the original with a bigger edition size, they so dont realize that the only reason it was popular is because of the low edition size of 300. People will remember it was selling well at all before they put 300 and even then it took a while, its a slap in the face but people must enjoy being slapped.

I was under the impression this would look a lot different to the original, from the pic it looks almost identical, same robes, same armor, same colours.

The fact that they are remaking this is the reason I have drastically slowed down on buying SS. I don't really see them as collectible when there is more then one version of a statue and when ES are huge.

That means a lot coming from you, as you're one of SS's best customers.

You know fremen, I've been so back and forth with this issue in my mind too. it really did bug me that this was up for pre-order forever and even a while after the ES was announced. All of a sudden everybody wanted it when they saw it was part of a bigger overarching line. I didn't understand why SS would even do a variant when they had a line up of so many other characters that won't see the light of day until in 2017.
