Supposedly yes. XM mentioned before that that is supposed to be a real chess board that can be played. Whether that remains so will be revealed soon.
I am like you Mr. Jones. Kingpin isn't even in my top 50 Marvel characters...but the concept and execution appears to be outstanding. I must admit...D'onofrio's performance of Kingpin in DD helped push him up my favorite Marvel characters list.

Still not crazy about the chair, it looks too stiff even when a heavy dude like Kingpin is sitting on. Preferred a black leather modern chair.
