Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I'm okay with more detail being added to the base design, but having a bunch of robotic parts added on completely defeats the purpose of the suit. The suit is so advanced that all the tech is supposed to be inside the fabric. It's supposed to look, as you said, sleek and simple. Over-complicating something doesn't make it better.

I would agree with you if this statue was intended to represent the Terry McGinnis of future-Gotham, but it's not. It's a skin, added to the game presumably to allow the designers to have a little fun and stretch their imagination.
When I used the suit in-game, the first thing that came to mind regarding all of the extra little details was that, within the context of the Arkhamverse, it makes perfect sense. What would a prototype Beyond suit look like during this Bruce's tenure as the Bat? More importantly, at this time? Armored, mechanical, as though it hasn't been thoroughly tested or optimized. Call me crazy, but I see the appeal of both the classic and AK designs.

Personally, I want a Kingdom Come armored Batman more than I do a Batman Beyond animated "true" version.

No doubt. I understand that this statue is of the game design. I'm just stating why I dislike the game design.
Was this ever officially labeled a "prototype" Batman Beyond suit though? I know people have said it'd be cool to think of it as a prototype suit, but is that what the game studio ever actually intended for it to be? Because there's a Batman Beyond suit in Arkham City that is much less complex and more faithful to the animated suit.

No worries.
I don't believe it's been officially stated that the skin is a prototype version of the suit. Can't speak for anyone else, but that was just the most entertaining way to look at it from my perspective. Though it'd be interesting to know if that was the actual intent behind the design. I suspect it was just the designers having a little fun, after covering the true-to-form Beyond suit in City.

I'm glad they included the batarang, though it should have just been included with one of the extra hands and not the EX. Regardless, this will be my first Prime order.
