You should pass those concerns on to Prime 1, as well as a list of the statues you feel they should be applying their talent to. Let us know how that works out.....

To be fair, Gab makes every character look amazing.

The statue concept is amazing, but man do I feel like this character is overrated. I think I just hate the character design.

The character is brand new, can’t be overrated, we don’t even know what he is capable of yet. As of right now (spoilers)

he’s taken down Wonder Woman and has devised a plan that has successfully destroyed the Justice League. He has the tactical abilities of Bruce Wayne but the insanity of the Joker. There are no limits for this character right now.

As for the look of the character, the design is brilliant. The event is titled “Metal” and he fits the role perfectly. There are horror influences in the character design, while staying true to Batman and Joker. He is, for me, the most exciting new character in comics right now.

Yeah, I'm a Batman purist myself and I really like the design of this guy. If you consider that he is an alternate universe Bats, then I think the character will grow on you. Alternate versions of iconic characters are great IMO, if they aren't replacing the originals, and this guy isn't. That being said, 1/3 scale is just too big for me. There will be other scales though.

To be fair, i've been holding of reading any of the Metal books until they're all finally out and I can binge the whole crossover event.

I think i'm just sick of seeing his face on every single variant out there.

Well, if you haven’t read it, it’s not really fair to say he’s overrated. DC knows they have a super popular new character on their hands, and people have been responding.

I'm loving the Dark Nights : Metal story line overall, and I believe its doing very well sales-wise. As for the statue itself, it would have been huge at 1/4 scale...at 1/3 scale it'll be monstrous. I'd love to own the statue, but I'll wait until I see the price before deciding whether or not to pull the trigger.
